Dear You, how did you come to the conclusion that the condition is dry socket? Usually, post-extraction swelling and pain is common in cases of severe infection. But if the condition is really dry socket, then see your dentist immediately. A sedative dressing will be given which will give instant relief. This dressing may have to be changed every 2 days for 3 or 4 times.

Infection affected tooth sometimes takes more time to heal so it may be delayed healing.post extraction pain and swelling is common.dry socket usually happens between 2-4 days after extraction.site becomes dry and grey in colour . Underlying bone can also be seen.dry socket is not a severe complication, it gets treated with little intervention.it is just absence of blood clot on site due to various reasons.it will subside in 7-10 days

Visit a dentist for cleaning of the socket nd placement of a sedative dressing ... meanwhile do warm saline rinses nd also use cold ice pack for swelling .... Take ketoro dt for emergency and visit a dentist ASAP
