A cold and dry cough lasting two weeks is longer than a typical viral cold, especially since it's disturbing your sleep. This is worth looking into, more so while you're trying to conceive. Steam inhalation, warm fluids and honey in warm water are safe to try right now.
Next Steps
If your period hasn't started by 14 November, take a home pregnancy test first. Avoid adding any new cough medicine until you know your status, since the safest options can change once you're pregnant. Please see a physician if the cough is still troubling you this week.
Health Tips
Go in sooner if your fever rises, you feel breathless, or the cough brings up blood or coloured phlegm. Those need prompt review rather than waiting it out at home.
