Hi, I have been prescribed to take cefalexin 500 for three times a day. I also take concor 5mg for my bp. Is there any drug interaction? Is it safe to take cefalexin? Thanks in advance

Cefalexin is an antibiotic and it has been prescribed to treat the infection. Continue the medication as prescribed by the doctor. Please confirm with him about twice or thrice a day regarding the dosage.
Next Steps
To continue with the medication,

I think you should believe in your doctor and consult with him only for any doubt you have regarding his treatment plan. Regarding your question: Nothing to be worried about for a short duration course of cephalexin.

Cefalexin along with concor, does cause increase in levels of the anti hypertensive medicine in ur blood, so you might need to lower the dose of tab concor for a brief duration, to maintain optimum blood pressure levels. And cephalexin has been prescribed to treat an infection, it’s safer to take it at a therapeutic dose as prescribed by your physician.
