Firstly, whether it's a pet or a stray dog that has bitten you makes further management different.
If it was a pet dog who has been fully vaccinated and it's vaccination history is well known to you, nothing to do or worry about.
If it's a pet dog with doubtful vaccination history or a stray dog, then you need to determine whether:
1)The bite was superficial (just a scratch with no blood) you don't need to do anything because the previous ARV doses will provide you enough immunity to be protected against the virus. Just wash the wound with soap and water for 10 minutes.
2)If it's like an abrasion /category 2 bite(small amount of blood drawn but a minor wound) or a category 3 bite(i.e. deep bite with a lot of blood drawn), you should take another booster ARV ASAP.
So in my opinion, guessing you had a category 2/3 bite, it's better to take the second booster shot as soon as possible.
Next Steps
Whenever the bite or scratch occurs, first step is to wash the wound with soap and water for 10-15 minutes. Vaccine comes after that.
