Hello doctor My mother ( age - 45 ) has vit b 12 deficiency (100 pg/ml ) So doctor suggested to take 500 mcg of meaxon gold injection for 5 days daily . Then weekly once for 1 month and then monthly once for a year . Meaxon gold injection is of 1500 mcg mecobalamin. As doctor suggested 500 mcg but nurse administered 1500 mcg of meaxon gold . So is it ok to take meaxon gold 1500 mcg injection daily for 5 days for 100 pg/ml deficiency of vit b 12 or is it a over dose? Should we continue using it or change the dose ? And when i surfed through internet i came across dosage recommended is 1000 mcg /week .. so please clarify this and suggest the best dose of injection. I'm attaching prescription and test results with this kindly check out . Thank you.

Excessive vitamin B12 intake is usually not harmful because it is a water-soluble vitamin, which means the body can excrete any excess through urine. If you have any questions please connect
