Do i need tetanus or anti rabies
Today i got bitten by rat
In feb 2021 i took 5 anti rabies and 1 tetanus and 2 anti rabies dose in September 2021 after dog scratch . 1 tetanus in jan 2022 itself so do i need to take tetanus shot again and do anti rabies needed for rat bite ??

Hello sir,
Antirabies vaccine is a post exposure prophylaxis ( after exposing to risk of getting rabies )against rabies . Usually rat bite won't cause rabies so antirabies vaccine not recommended. As u have taken TT injection in January, the effect can last for 6 months to 2 years so no need to repeat the dose
