There is as such no disadvantage in capping the tooth. In fact it's done to save a defective tooth which has already undergone dental health issues. Not likely. Maintain good oral hygiene. If crowning is done in last 2-3 days,  drink lemon juice everyday to prevent ulcers(body reaction).
