Digestive Problems

2017-04-02 13:53:25
Hello, doctor..I am 23, male. I have been suffering from digestive problems for last 4-5 years. The severity of the problem has increased over the past couple of years and especially last few months. What I have been told about my problem by a doctor(Physician) I used to visit is that I have IBS. Let me tell you about the symptoms: Regular attacks of diarrhea after every 10-12 days. When diarrhea stops in 2-3 days, mild constipation remains till next attack of diarrhea. And then the cycle repeats. Most of the times the stool is very sticky. I am sick and tired and fed up of this problem. Is there any cure for this problem in Ayurveda? Which ayurvedic doctor should I see? Please help.Thanks.

As you have mentioned about your complaints. In my opinion your gut Flora is not much healthy as you have taken so much Medicines which destroy the gut friendly bacteria. So you are facing such problems again and again. Will advise you to take probiotics and Zinc for 15 days.
Next Steps
consult with Ayurvedic Physician for proper treatment.
Health Tips
Avoid oily and spicy food.drink atleast  2-3 liter water per day.

Dear Patient, IBS is a chronic digestive issue.. it will not go only with over the counter drugs. Kindly do not depend upon them . You need to see a good Ayurvedic physician in your area. My suggestion would be to contact someone passed out from Jamnagar University if it is close as they have good solutions.    Also to start with you can order sarveshwar rasayana of Ayurveda Rasayani Pune which I personally use in my practice for IBS . Also   you can start with kutajghanavati tab 1-1-1 during diarrhoea and aragwadha choorna during constipation.
Next Steps
You need to take proper treatment from an expert as Ayurveda has good range of medications and solution for this problem.
Health Tips
Avoid eating junk food, curd, irregular meals, spicy food and non veg till you recover.
