Hi, For female 42 years... since 4 years using  metformin tablets 1500 mg ( 500 +500+ 500) daily. Recently, sugar test done. Hba1c   7 Fasting sugar      106  mg/dl Post breakfast     126 mg/dl Doctor suggested to  take  only  500mg ( metformin)+ 50 mg( vildagliptin) @ night time only.    Is it OK to drop down the dosage from 1500 mg to (500 + 50 mg) ?? It has been 15 days over that this course started. Now, can the patient go and   test again to check how effective the tablet is??
