Relationships are based on emotional connections and trust.
Once the trust is broken, it tends to cause problems in such relationships. Both the partners in the relationship should understand this to maintain a healthy relationship.
Since your friend has relationship with others it might be the time for you to reconsider the emotional attatchment you have with him.
You have to understand that our emotions will change with time. One minute we may be sad, the next minute we may be happy. Thus time will heal you.
