Hello Doctor, I am 17 years old and I am worried about a possible pregnancy. My last period started on 13 May. I had unprotected sex once and took an i-Pill about 28 hours later. After that, I had sex again only with protection, and there was no ejaculation inside. Recently, I have been having spotting/bleeding that comes and goes. It started as red spotting and sometimes brown discharge, and now I am also noticing clear discharge. My periods are usually around a 31-day cycle, and I am currently a few days late. I took a home pregnancy test on 16 June, which was negative. The test was taken more than 3 weeks after the unprotected intercourse. My questions are: 1. Could the spotting and delayed period be caused by the i-Pill? 2. Is the negative pregnancy test reliable at this point? 3. Should I repeat the pregnancy test, and if so, when? 4. When should I be concerned enough to visit a clinic in person? Thank you.
