Dark spots and rough bumps and pigmentat

I have had dark spots and rough bumps on my buttocks and upper thighs for a few months. They started as red bumps, now mostly dark and pigmented. No pus or major itching. I want to confirm if it's folliculitis or keratosis pilaris and how to treat the pigmentation safely. I'm currently not on any treatment
