Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat MS ENT
There is mild mucosal thickening in both maxillary sinuses, left ethmoid sinus, and left frontal sinus.
This indicates mild inflammation or sinus congestion, which is common in chronic sinusitis or allergic conditions.
There is a subtle C-shaped deviated nasal septum (DNS) towards the left side.
This means the cartilage/bone separating the two nasal cavities is slightly bent, causing narrowing on one side.
There is a right concha bullosa.
This refers to an air-filled cavity within the nasal turbinate, which can contribute to nasal obstruction.
These findings explain your long-standing nasal blockage, headaches, eye pain, and pressure around the eyes. The sinus inflammation and structural changes in the nose are causing obstruction and poor drainage.
Next Steps
In many cases, mild to moderate inflammation can be controlled with medical treatment
However, if the deviation of the septum and concha bullosa are significantly blocking airflow or causing recurrent sinus infections, surgical correction is the best option.
