Normal creatinine range according to most of the labs is 0.6 to 1.2 mg/dL. Your father's creatinine is slightly above the normal acceptable limits, which means there is some issue going on in his kidneys which is in the early stage. Urine test for protein and albumin can be normal in certain conditions where still problems exist within the kidney. Bottom-line Creatinine of 1.28 is slightly abnormal Is it a thing to worry ? Absolutely Not Sometimes even dehydration can cause slightly elevated creatinine
Next Steps
Do a USG KUB Ophthalmology screening for retina status Follow up the creatinine serially once a month for next two months.
