Cracks on finger and toe nails

Actually she is a patient with biliary atresia and had a kasai procedure done at the age of 3 months. She is having cracks in her finger nails since 2-3 months. She takes syp zincovit every day and apart from that all the other nutritional supplements like vit a d e k calcimax udiliv. What could be the reason and what to do? Is it because of zinc deficiency?
