White teeth are the hardest part comparatively so , I think you might have problem with mouth opening also in combination with teeth pain.so avoid using straw & focus on healing of lips as a priority.

Post the medication details you are undergoing. And picture of affected region as convenient as possible. Avoid harsh brushing and use soft bristled brush.
