Covid 19...
I was infected with covid in April . I had fever and body pain which subsided upon taking medicine like paracetamol, doxycycline , iver mectin, etc. After that I took both doses of covishield vaccine. Now I am again reinfecred with covid. I am majorly asymptomatic. Mild fever like 100°f comes every 12hrs. Apart from this everything is ok. My family members are also infected. Everyone is doing fairly good. Nothing serious yet. My father is taking montec lc for cough.
My question is how can reinfection occurs within 6 months after taking vaccine? Does that induce the fact that vaccines are not that effective?

Reinfection happens because immunity vanes with time gradually and also the virus mutates which helps it to evade the immune system. But vaccines prevents from developing severe disease in majority of cases.

vaccine is meant to prevent hospitalisation and not covid.
with vaccine covid becomes non fatal.
u can still have covid but it would be mild enough to treat at home itself and also not lead to any severe complications.
