Three months old baby has cough cold. Also doctor has prescribed medicines . But he don't get relief . So how long should I wait at home . Attaching doctor prescription for your reference.

These symptoms suggest viral respiratory infection which can last for 1 to 2 weeks. If the baby is feeding well, weight is ok and passing urine, nothing to worry about. Visit another Pediatrician for a second opinion. Only check up can tell if it's something to worry about

As per the prescription the child has mild distress , however antibiotics in absence of fever and severe danger signs is not advisable. You should give saline nasal drops and steam inhalation and get the child reassessed if no improvement in 2-3 days.

Depends on severity of cold cough and fever. If fever and cough are moderate get check up early. Only cold mild cough may take 5-7 days to settle. Fever, cough, difficulty for feeding, lack of sleep, restlessness, breathing difficulty, dullness are red flags for early consultation

Keep baby upright 30 minutes minimum after feeding.Watch for Fast breathing..Put saline nasal drops 1 drops each nose 4 hourly to 6 hourly for 3-5 days... Kindly put clear image of medicine bottle as handwriting is not totally readable...Most of cough and cold in infants is viral only and some due to feed Regurgitation..Take consultation if needed from Pediatrician
