Many a times sudden gym etc introduced in our life style leads to back ache because spine is the weakest part of our body. And sudden exertion causes pain.
You need to start with stretching and strengthening of back flexor , extensors and also rotators, to control the pain.
Keep an eye on your posture when you lift weights in gym. At times we strain our back right there.
