Confused when to check sugar levels

Hi.. Im under medication of diabetes type 2. I brought the sugar test kit But I have 3 doubts :: 1.But I was confused what are target sugar      levels needs to be maintained fast and PP?    .. 2. Website is telling 1-2 after meal and one      more website is 3 hr after meal Which        information is real to get post meal sugar          details ? .. 3. And if it's mentioned after 2 hours means is that exact at 2 hours ?? Or 2.5 or 3 hrs also fine ??

Hello.. In type 2 diabetes target blood sugar levels are fasting 70 to 180 and post Prandial 2 hr 70 to 180 mg/dl...  2 hr post meal is right time to check..!! By most criterias 2 hr OGTT (75 anhydrous glucose challenge) is gold standard recommended than just 2 hr post meal... But for routine monitoring 2hr post meal is fine..!!

Targets need to be individualised for every patient based on various factors. In general fasting 90 to 130 and 2 hr post meal less than 180
