Colon cancer
I was having dark hard stool with dull right flank pain and stomach pain which was on right side, a doc recommended upper endoscopy, everything came out normal, after a week or something, i had beetroot juice and i had dark watery stool that day for three times, so doc suggested me ct scan and stool test, I got ct scan of abdomen and pelvis and everything was normal, i even got a test to detect blood in stool, it came out negative. I wanted to know if colon cancers always bleed? And can a ct scan of abdomen and pelvis detect early stage of colon cancer?
Colon cancers usually have sypmtoms such as alternating constipation and diarrhea, bleeding may or may not be present.

screening for colon cancer usually consists of yearly colonoscopy but recommended above the age 50-55 years.
It can be done at a younger age in people who have history of colon cancers in the family.
Ct scan usually is not done to detect cancers.
Health Tips
At your age group its highly unlikely, eat lots of salad (after proper washing), drink lots of water, avoid red meat and workout regularly.
