Hello My 1 month old baby girl has a hard stomach and also she cries in the middle of night while sleeping throughout the day. I checked online and it seems that the symptoms resemble colic syndrome. Is it serious and what to do to treat the same. Also any medicine to be fed or precautions to be taken or treatment

As you rightly said it could be possibly Colic only. for that you doesn't have to give any medication at this tender age unless it is very severe lasting for more than half an hour or one hour continuously. in that case you can give drugs like colicaid 3 drops orally otherwise you can lift the baby and swing him rapidly, but carefully so that the gas will  be expelled out .colic is mainly due to accumulation of the gas in the stomach ,so you should help the baby to expel the gas out .that's all what is required.

Dear parents , What do expect from baby? His daily day cycle is sleeping all the day &wake up at 12midnight to 4am during this period they cry Andplay feed and passes stool &urine several times . When crying you touch abdomen it is always hard. Change this cycle waking them in day time, they will change, playing in day &sleeping in night. According to me hold the baby in one arm keeping his head at elbow joint and the buttocks in the palm of same arm and feed the baby for 15to20minutes. Hold the outer palm of baby in between the thumb and index finger and press the palm when ever baby sleep or stop feeding After feeding put the baby on left shoulder and pat just behind stomach level for 5mintues to burpe on back of the baby. Baby burp 3to5times. After burping lay down the baby onright side of the baby putting a pillow below head maintaining that head is above level of stomach.
