Ciprofloxacin is very effective antibiotic indicated for different infections.All drugs have their adverse effects.But with ciprofloxacin  , rarely associated with  adverse reactions (e.g., tendinitis and tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, CNS effects) This commonly prescribed for adults ,not in children unless there's strong indication.

This is one of the most common antibiotics used and it is very safe. Some people may get side effects. But I suppose that can happen even with eating ice cream.
