Chickenpox during Pregnancy

2023-10-25 10:59:23
My friend is 6 weeks pregnant and she got infected with chickenpox in 4-5 weeks of pregnancy. She had her ultrasound sound at 6 weeks 2 days and there is a heartbeat. Her doctor suggested not to continue with pregnancy as she got chickenpox and this could lead to risk in the pregnancy. I would like to know if this opinion of the doctor is correct or there is any other  way/medication by which she can continue with pregnancy without any risk.
