I have neck hump and facing symptoms like neck and back pain.
Please suggest if exercise here is the only way out? Do I need to maintain diet along with it?

Going through your history of IT professional, long hrs of working may lead to cervical spine pain due to abnormal posturing due to muscle spasm.
If the symptoms are only cervical pain and back pain and if there is no associated reffered pain to upper limb or tingling numbness or any associated vertigo then it's nothing to worry.

simple postural change with regularly getting up and giving streching exercise will itself give you lots of relief.
further more if you can take physiotherapy it will also help you relief muscle spasm.
if still no relief then mild analgesic for short term will help you in relief of pain.
