Cavity in tooth

2022-04-05 07:11:39
My daughter of 5 year is advised tooth extraction by doctor. X- ray and pics are attached. My query is : 1. Is tooth extraction the last option. 2. After tooth extraction will the permanent teeth erupt without any problem. 3. Will tooth extraction result in any speech problem for child. Thanks

please share x-rays and images.. rct is also done in milk teeth so extraction is not the last orion but everything depends on status of teeth and post extraction space maintainers are must for space preservation, esthetics and speech post treatment go for pit and fissure sealants if child is prone to caries

Hi. The X- rays are not attached. Still Extraction of the tooth is not the last option. Root canal is also done but depends on how the tooth condition is. Yes missing tooth will impact speech, eating, esthetics and so on many problems. But based on which tooth we are talking about there are many other options even after extraction which will help prevent all those concerns of yours.
Next Steps
Post pics and X-ray for clear guidance. Visit a Pedodontist for clear idea.
Health Tips
Milk tooth is always backed up by a permanent tooth, so don't worry. But still which tooth, its position, function has its importance as milk tooth is not a dummy tooth. Take care.

Tooth extraction is the last option Also depends on which tooth Couldn't see the picture Extraction of posterior teeth result in space loss and space maintainers are advised if extraction is inevitable Brushing twice Rinsing and use of mouthwash Regular check up is a must
