Cavity in teeth

My son who is 9 years old has cavities in teeth even after do brushing twice in a day. And sometimes have him bleeding.Can anyone suggest a toothpaste for him if that help.

Your son is in the phase of erupting back teeth and having both milk as well permanent teeth. You can get them checked physically and follow the advise. Most of the time, it doesn't need any much interventions. Take care

If ur son is having tooth decay it is important to have him examined by a good dentist and filled the tooth as early.

Hi, As you have noticed cavities it is first important to have them filled .Once filled they will no longer harbor food and bacteria. As he has bleeding gums you may also have to get a scaling done. Once his oral health has improved he will need to maintain it.Any well known commercial brand like Colgate,Closeup etc will do the job. It is however important that he uses a suitable medium bristled brush and brushes twice a day under your supervision at least initially.A lot of times kids just tend to chew on their brush and the chore is done. Also make sure to change his toothbrush regularly.Fraying bristles are signs that the brush is past the use by date.
