My son is 5 month old. During summer some days he passes urine less compared to other days. It seems dehydrated to me.
We provide milk at regular intervals of around 2 hrs. Can we also provide water to baby to hydrate his body ??
Please check if ur milk is adequate in quantity...even in summer daily needs to pass urine 4-5 times in a day..if milk is adequate there is no need of extra water to be given
Milk contains water so at this no need to give extra water, otherwise her milk appetite will decrease. If your child is passing adequate amount of urine then nothing to be done
It's best to avoid water until weaning is started at 6 months age. However, you can also start weaning at 5 months of age and give small amounts of water.
