I was diagnosed extra pulmonary tuberclosusis in 2016 and took 1 yr course and one fluid drainage also done in between through surgery . In 2019 I got to know that there is multiple lymphnodes swelling..then with Fnac my genexpert is negative my pulmonary doctor told me no need to take medicine again. But in 2021 December my fiance diagnosis with pulmonary tuberclosusis. I am currently in touch with him .. should I have to worry about myself that I am again infected with tb?

Yes you should maintain proper distance and apply face mask to avoid reinfection and encourage her to take medications properly and timely. Moreover ,the risk is even more if she has sputum positive tuberculosis.

You may get reinfected if proper precautions like face mask, well ventilated rooms , cough hygiene if not followed along with improper usage of tb drugs can make you and all his close contacts susceptible to tuberculosis

Since you have a recurrence of lymph nodes … it is important to biopsy/ sample them so that we are able to definitively exclude Tb and drug resistant TB..
Next Steps
CT scan may be needed.. please schedule a consult to discuss possible implications

Yes.chances are there. However, pl put him on Anti Tb treatment, so that he will become negative. Then chances are very less. Pl continue  mask, take good diet, build your immunity. He also must follow, cough hygiene.,and wear Mask.proper disposable of sputum has to be done, etc.
