No need to worry if baby is active and taking feeds. Always better is mother milk. If not sufficient then only formula milk is advised. Some babies pass stools once in 2-3 days and some in 5-6 days also. So don't worry about constipation if baby is passing stools daily.
Next Steps
if any blood in stools then consult a pediatrician or neonatalogist
Health Tips
mother milk is best.

Soft then nothing to do with, if passing hard stools or crying during passing stools then constipation. Just give adequate feed.
Next Steps
If any danger signs present like abdominal distension, or vomiting frequently then consult physically
Health Tips
Better to give on breast milk till 6 months, either direct breast feed or expressed breast milk instead of giving formula milk
