Each 10 ml of calcimax P contains 300mg of elemental calcium ie 30mg/ ml . Every calculation in pediatrics is based on body weight of the baby. 1.5 ml twice a day is equal to 90mg of elemental calcium. Considering a body weight of 3 kg that is 30mg/kg of calcium Calcium is generally advised only to babies born preterm. Cumulative dosages are around 120-220 mg/kg/ day. It's a little difficult to tell you why calcium has been recommended for your baby.

Calcimax P has zinc and magnesium in addition to Vit D,Calcium and phosphorus. Only calcium and phosphorus and vit D is sufficient for newborn.. Why to give extra magnesium and zinc
