Bruised my gum while brushing

2022-01-21 09:56:24
4 days back in the morning while brushing teeth, I bruised my gum with my toothbrush. It has a slight pain but I am trying to soothe it with warm salt water. How much time will it take to heal? Is it serious this time? Colour of the gum is very light blue not significant but the gum and inside lip muscle pains when touched.

Kindly do not touch the area. If this doesn’t go in next 2-3 days please visit the dentist for a consult and proper medication

Just stop irritating the spot. It will heal on its own in 2-3 days. If it doesn't heal then visit dentist for clinical examination.

Hello! Use soft bristle brush in gently. It’s a good practice to change toothbrush every 3 months / once the bristles are worn out/ after any cold/ flu sickness. Right now, for symptomatic relief- u can apply Dologel (15min before meals) and this will help u eat ur food without discomfort or u can simply apply Ghee. It’s a self healing abrasion. If it doesn’t subside, visit your local Dentist. They will evaluate your oral hygiene regime, localised Calculus if any, any nutritional deficiency and then treat you accordingly.
