Yes you can mix breast milk pumped at 3 hour difference. Yes you can mix breast milk and formula milk. But formula and water should be correctly mixed first. Then mix with breast milk. But best offer breast milk first. Then give formula

But why? Breast milk if properly stored at room temperature is safe for 3-4 hours. So no problem if it is 2-3 hours old. It is same mother’s milk. Exclusive breast feeding is good. Formula feeding will confuse the baby and causes failure of breast feeding.

Greetings Mixing breast milk pumped at different times is safe and common.Ideally, cool freshly pumped milk before adding it to cold milk. The storage time is based on the oldest milk in the container. You can also mix breast milk and prepared formula in one bottle.Always mix formula with water first before adding any breast milk.

Kept at room air expressed breast milk remain good for 3-4 hour .In refrigerator it remains for 24 hour.So mix as per your need and see timeline. If first expressed breast milk you kept at 2 pm suppose then on room air it will be ok to feed till6 pm but if you add 2nd expressed breast milk in 1st one at 5 pm then unnecessary it will be wasted. So mix after knowing time of storage. And once you use stored milk then keep Wati of milk over lukewarm water as milk should not be cold

Yes, breast milk pumped within 2–3 hours can be mixed if both were stored properly. It is best to cool freshly pumped milk before mixing with already refrigerated milk. Breast milk can also be mixed with formula milk if needed. Prepare the formula correctly with water first, then mix with breast milk. Avoid storing leftover mixed feed for long.
