Braces -tooth extractions

2024-04-27 05:24:10
Hi Doctor I recently visited a top dental brand and they assured me I can go forward with braces without any extractions, although through the years all dentist I have visited had advised me that extractions would be needed which I am not ready for.I am skeptical to go ahead as I think they might recommend extraction in the later stage of treatment and I would be stuck.I have cap on broken/dead tooth they recommend re RCT as well Please advice should I go ahead

The extraction of teeth is recommend for desire result. After completion of treatment there won’t be any spaces between the teeth. If you don’t want extraction of teeth then you won’t get the desired result. The clinic photo shows discoloured tooth which requires root canal treatment and capping. You can go ahead with orthodontic treatment without extracting teeth but result will be less desirable.

Hello The tooth extraction is needed or not will be decided by the orthodontist based upon your jaw. If they recommend extraction in the process of treatment that is absolutely ok to go ahead with extraction, there is no worry in it. Coming to your anterior tooth it must go for re Rct because there is reinfection on the tooth.

Hi, The need for an extraction or not will be decided by the Orthodontist. Extraction is done to create space to move the teeth. The space of the extracted tooth will be covered by the adjacent teeth. Also be open and clear about your concern about extraction before you start with the braces treatment.
