Hi- is this right way to measure BP? I noticed that if I place a pillow in the BP tends to draw by at least 10 points.- my doctor started me on medicine because I was recording readings without placing below or any rest like I would keep my arm hanging in air Now, keeping arm like this readings have changed significantly, and I think I might need to get the medicine changed

Yes this is the right way to measure B.P. The apparatus, arm should be in a straight line with heart. If arm well supported below, better. When the arm is dangling down or  elevated, results can be  inaccurate.
