If severe pain is there after wisdom tooth removal it can be from 2 areas -
1. pain from wisdom tooth area - it can be due to a condition called dry socket. you can get relief by getting dentist help only. You may preferably meet an oral surgeon if possible. They will give medicated packs to treat this.
- Laser therapy is extremely helpful too.
2. Pain from the tooth in front of wisdom tooth - in case the tooth in front is also decayed badly or has root surface exposed after removal of wisdom tooth, they can be treated by filling or root canal treatment.
(In case the nerve is hit during tooth removal the gum, lip and other involved areas would have been numb by now, which is not so I think. Otherwise, you would have mentioned that as your symptom too. So, I will think this is not the cause)
Next Steps
meet a dentist and if possible an oral surgeon and get it evaluated
