Blood bank testing

2023-01-23 06:48:12
Hi, recently my friend voluntarily donated blood in lions blood bank. But he told me he was unwell a dews days before suspecting Covid. When I asked him, he told me that the blood bank will check and inform him if they found any diseases in the blood. Is it so that blood banks perform test and inform the donor before discarding it or they just discard it?
