Hi! I just noticed I have black stains on the edges of my lower jaw incisors. What could be the possible reason and how do I rectify it? Also, the gums of those teeth have been paining since last night. Thank you!

The black stains might also be present in the other areas, however may not be evident to you as the lower incisors. Night pain also  indicates deep carious lesions causing an abscess in the root tip region. Would require radiographs to rule out the same.
Next Steps
Kindly visit a nearby dentist to get the problem soughted at the right time.
Health Tips
Go for a regular dental check up.

Stains can be removed by professional cleaning of your teeth. Gum pain is due to infection in gums that will also rectify after cleaning with some medicines.
