Hey Daksh, there is a pigment Melanin which is found in gum tissue and gives it dark colour. Some medicines, endocrine disturbances or smoking also cause darkening of gums. Sometimes a black spot on the gums could be a type of oral cancer. From this photo blackness on gums seems to be within normal range but you need to be examined.
