Small lymph nodes in the neck can be due to multiple reasons and they are usually benign. If you have had sore throat or tonsillitis or ear infection you could get small lymph nodes. If you have a problem of dandruff also you could get lymph nodes in the neck.
However if you have lost a lot of weight (around 8 to 10 kgs or so) in the last 3 to 4 months without doing any diet or exercise, or if you have any history of fever or loss of appetite, or if you notice that the lymph nodes are getting bigger in size, then you need to visit a doctor and the lymph nodes need to be examined further.
