Hello , you have not mentioned where exactly its hurting on your back . You may apply ice for 20 mins thrice in a day and take some rest if you have hurt a bony prominence .
If the muscles have gone in spasm then you may apply heat pack.
It is advisable to visit a physiotherapist to have you assesed well and have a tailored made exercise or modalities to reduce your pain.
Till then rest is adviced .sleep on side .while getting up from bed turn on one side and get up .
Avoid lifting heavy objects or sitting low or on floor.
