Hi All, My baby is now 1year & 8 months, He is walking,playing & doing other activities but in his wish. If we are trying to teach him or calling him, he is not at all responding. In my family, my elder brother son also not yet started talking fluently but trying , now he is 2years 7 months. I am seeing other kids like girl child younger than my son started talking, is boy child are little bit slow compared to girl child or any issue with my kid? Kindly help me out, if I need to do anything please let me know.

Evaluation of milestones from birth till now is required by a pediatrician. Many times only single milestone is delayed and remaining are normal. This might become normal with age. A pediatrician visit will tell you as what steps can be taken. Is wait and watch the next step or any therapy is needed will only be possible after examination by a child specialist

Please show him to pediatrician and TAKE AN MCHAT SCALE to rule out autism
