Intra muscular injections tend to be slightly painful. The pain will subside in a day or 2. If there is no redness or warmth , you can warm compress to ease pain. If there is slight redness use ice pack. Don’t restrict the movement of the hand due to pain. Incase it doesn’t subside , or there is swelling, increasing redness , warmth or burning, immediately consult your doctor.
