Ankle surgery problems

I have had ankle surgery in October 2017 in the past couple days one side of my ankle where one of the screw is swelled up very bad and is in imaginable pain and is hot to the touch

You may have infective situation developing in you ankle.. To confirm get ESR, CRP(quantitative) and TLC done.

Share x-rays..

If infection is present, you may have to get implant removal done and look for alternative methods of stabilisation / fixation
