Anesthesia during 2 trimester pregnancy

Hi I am 13 weeks pregnant and have a cervical polyp with the size of 15mm* 11mm I started seeing spotting from the 8th week of pregnancy  and from the 10th week I started observing the polyp popping out of vagina My doctor suggested we go for surgery to remove the polyp But as Anesthesia needs to be given during surgery, I am a bit worried if it is safe for the baby ? Can the polyp removal can be done without Anesthesia? Thanks
