Why our jaw can't move back but can move forward with respect to its natural position? Is it because of its anatomical structure? How can one identify if his jaw is misaligned or misplaced?

Hello sir.. Naturally our jaws wont move backwards because of the anatomical position of the jaw muscles....Dentist can identified misaligned jaws through clinical and radiological examination

After the growth is completed, limited forward movement is possible with proper appliance but we can not move the lower jaw backward with appliance. It is because of the temporal bone behind the lower jaw. We can go for surgical option if jaw has to be placed backward.

Jaw can't move back mainly because of the anatomical position and muscles. We can identify the jaws whether they are misalignment or misplaced through clinical examination and radiolographically.
