Hi,
From your question it seems that when you say your partner lied to you, it is about the fact that he did not share about the death of his sibling or his health issues at that time. If that is the case then it may have been a difficult time for him. Coping with the loss of a loved one especially a sibling can be very difficult and sometimes people tend to withdraw from others and are unable to engage with life or others actively. He may need your support and understanding at this time and may not be able to meet your emotional needs or expectations from him. In case you truly care for him then talk to him and extend your support. He will value you for the same.
I can't understand the part where you say, 'I have also done some deceptive things'. In case you are not sure of your feelings for him or about his feelings for you then it is good to explore the same. Getting into one relationship does not mean we have to carry it on forever. People can grow, their feelings can change and they may want different things for themselves and it is alright to move on without feeling guilty. It is good to stay on in a relationship when it adds to our sense of well being and happiness, not when we are constantly doubtful, insecure and worried.
