Allergic to local anesthesia medicine.
I am allergic to local anesthesia medicine and need to go root canal (couple of sittings) and wisdom tooth extraction (2 of them on extreme edges from lower jaw, as those are slanted, causing cavity in the teeth besides them). Apart from general anesthesia, what all are my options which are less risky and economical, in that order. Please advise.
There are two types of local anesthetic solutions. Esters and amides. Esters are lesser used solutions.. But in case of amides, of you are allergic to one, you can opt for other amide type solutions. Although availability is an issue
