Alaspan Am during breastfeeding
Hello doctor... I'm a breastfeeding mother (though I dont feed that much, only during making baby sleep).. I have cough due to allergy may be and watery eyes too... can I have alaspan am tablet during breastfeeding? Is it safe to have?? Please help with this!

Yes, Alaspan-AM (Loratadine + Montelukast) is generally considered safe during breastfeeding, especially since you are feeding only occasionally.
Both medicines pass into breast milk in very minimal amounts and are unlikely to harm the baby. This combination is commonly used for allergic cough, watery eyes, and allergy symptoms in breastfeeding mothers.

• If symptoms are mild, sometimes Loratadine alone is sufficient

Ambroxol passes in breast milk while loratidine is safe in breast feeding,In lieu of ambroxol take guiaphensin/acetylcysteine as expectorant
Besides Cetirizine/chlorpheniramine/diphenhydramine safe in pregnancy and lactation
