Advice for falling & rising Spo2

2021-06-15 08:30:39
My mom has been discharged post Covid Pnuemonia from hospital on 28th May. Her SpO2 is ranging from 77-84 level without oxygen support and 89-92 with 1ltr per min oxygen flow. Her bio markers are in range but she is unable to stand or walk which is providing a hindrance for CT scan or chest xray What should we do ? Should we continue to give 1ltr oxygen supply whole day round? Or intermittently we should give oxygen therapy She also have sleep apnea.

There is no point in keeping her hypoxic. If u wont give him oxygen she will be prone to develop pulmonary hypertension and hypoxic damage . Some of them might be irreversible
